Mike Miles, SPHR-SCP, has held positions as the Senior Human Resources Leader in several high-visibility organizations, including the City of Portland, Maine and the University of New England. He has also provided foundational HR guidance for small organizations. He has extensive experience in varied environments, including for profit and nonprofit, union and non-union and in stand-alone and merged companies. His career emphasis has been on developing thriving organizational cultures that support optimal performance and maintain fiscal accountability.

 

Mike has a history of developing and implementing innovative HR practices that engage employees and curb costs. His specialties include:

Mike currently serves on the Board of Milestone Recovery, one of more than two dozen boards upon which he has served in the last 40 years.

 

Mike has also been retained as a Fact Finder for the Maine Labor Relations Board, and was pleased to have received the Distinguished Lifetime Service Award for his lifetime of civil rights activism from the Portland, ME chapter of NAACP in 2010. Mike lives in Westbrook, Maine, with his wife, Grace Cleaves.
